In order to strengthen the health care capacity while delivering equitable medical services, and enable the improvement of public health in the community in Shan State, the capacity building & development for health staff is also important to provide and conduct.
The Health Technical Training such as Maternal and Child Health (MCH), Community Health Workers (CHWs), and Auxiliary Midwives (AMWs) Training, etc. for SSDF is providing by one of the members of Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) Eastern Burma Consortium; which is Mae Tao Clinic in Thailand, and the training providers such as International Non-Government Organizations (INGOs) in Myanmar.
Besides, SSDF doesn’t have a training center that equips with a skills lab to let trainees have an opportunity to practice skills before caring for the patients in the health posts. So, only the Health-Service Management Training such as Pharmacy Management Training, Data Quality Management Training, Management Skills, Project Cycle Management, and etc. is organizing by SSDF with the Technical Supports from our partners.
In January 2021, a Training Department is established, and we start to fulfill the Medical Technical Staff before the end of 2021. Thus, there has an opportunity for SSDF to strengthen the Training Department and Health Care Staff Capacity in the future.
